In order to fall asleep we must feel relaxed and calm. This is difficult if a person is worrying or feeling stressed about a problem or issue, either consciously or unconsciously.

Insomniacs have very poor sleep patterns and find difficulty in letting go of a problem and relaxing. They go over and over a problem in their mind and the more they will themselves to  stop worrying and fall asleep, the harder it becomes. It’s a negative cycle.

Poor sleep affects people in numerous ways making them grumpy, anxious, angry, emotionally upset and exhausted. Insomnia can have a very negative impact on a person’s health and outlook.
