There is one thing that can make you feel happy faster than anything else I know.
Especially when you are miserable.
It’s called gratitude.
Did you know that it is actually impossible to be miserable and grateful.
You just can’t be both at the same time.
Being miserable simply means you are not looking at things right.
Being miserable means you are simply thinking about all the things you don’t have.
Being miserable means you think you are somehow ‘lacking’.
Which always makes me wonder how so many of us often think that we know what’s better for us much more than the perfectly magical the universe has in store.
Whenever miserable people come to see me, I like to remind them it is their choice.
It’s a choice to stay miserable and sit in scarcity and lack.
It’s also a choice to look at all the amazing, wonderful things you have in your life to be grateful for.
The other thing I love about when people start to shift their energy, and find the things they have in their life to be grateful for is this;
They never say ‘oh I am so grateful for the car, the house, the jewelry’. You’d think they would right? But they don’t.
Even the most hardened men I’ve worked with go to ‘I am really grateful for the love of my wife, when I hear my kids laughing, my best friend I’ve had since school’.
Magical isn’t it.
Gratitude makes us get real.
